Named After Theodore Roosevelt

Nestled in Kiowa County, Roosevelt is a charming small town named after President Theodore Roosevelt, who personally visited our community in 1903. Established in 1901 by former Rough Rider Charley Hunter, Roosevelt offers small-town charm with easy access to Great Plains State Park and Tom Steed Reservoir. With just over 200 friendly residents, Roosevelt exemplifies the peaceful spirit and agricultural heritage of rural Oklahoma.
